At MPC, the Session is responsible for the mission and government of the church. The Session meets the second Tuesday of each month and is comprised of Pastor Dave Wilkinson (moderator), Associate Pastor Janet Loughry, twenty-one sitting Elders and a Clerk of Session.
The Elders are chosen by the congregation to 'exercise leadership, government and discipline and have responsibilities for the life of a particular church.' (G-6.0302 in the Book of Order) Further, 'It is the duty of elders, individually and jointly, to strengthen and nurture the faith and life of the congregation committed to their charge.' (G-6.0304) To that end, in addition to participating in Session meetings, each Elder is involved in leading a Ministry Team to help meet the variety of needs of the church.

And to contact an Elder about joining a Ministry Team or to ask a question, click on the Elder's name and send him or her an email - or, now that you know who we are and what we look like, just introduce yourself on Sunday morning.
